The 56th BFI LFF got off to a great start as Tim Burton's stop motion animated movie Frankenweenie launched the film festival fun as it receives its European Premiere. Premiere Scene's Claire Bueno and Anthony Bueno were eager to interview director Tim Burton, executive producer Don Hahn, producer Allison Abate and actor Martin Short who share with us the process of 3D and how stop motion animation benefited the story so close to Burton's heart.

There were no need for tears as Premiere Scene's Claire Bueno and Anthony Bueno attended the European Premiere of Now Is Good based on the Jenny Downham novel; Before I Die. An enthusiastic cast and crew were all in attendance to talk about the coming of age story of a girl fulfilling her to do list before loosing her fight to leukaemia. Interviews lead by screenwriter and director Ol Parker; producer Peter Czernin; actors Dakota Fanning, Jeremy Irvine, Olivia Williams, Kaya Scodelario and Edgar Canham tell us how all the characters contribute to what is essentially an uplifting story.

As Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy is brought to an epic conclusion Premiere Scene's Sara Hartill and Anthony Bueno attend the European Film Premiere of the Dark Knight Rises. Join us as we interview director Nolan about the development of the Batman character, special effects supervisor Chris Corbould lets us into a secret about the caped crusader's flying machine 'The Bat' and Catwoman herself Anne Hathaway speaks admiringly of Nolan's generosity as a director. We were also in for a special treat as HRH Prince Harry took a stroll down the red carpet!
